I picked up 30 rolls of film from the lab yesterday and selected one favorite image from each roll to share today. Photos spanning the past month; from rainy Maine to balmy Florida. Wrapping up a busy week at the Maine Maritime Academy in Castine, Maine. Each year when the maritime students leave for summer a group of miniature artisans from all over the world replace them on campus. There is a wide variety of classes and events offered during the week. Jon’s been teaching raku pottery for 6 years running. This year the weather wasn’t great but Jon’s pottery students were more productive than ever! Today is their final raku firing before we pack it all up. Other students will be busy staining cabinets and tables, painting fur on cats, gluing legs on sofas, putting final details on folk art boxes and adding cords and dials to vintage wood radios.
