Jess and Scott have that kind of magnetic energy that when you leave them and drive off, you find yourself randomly murmuring in the car “Oh my goodness, I just love them”. Once you get home and start to work on the photos you find yourself saying out loud to nobody in the room. “Look at how adorable they are! Look at how he looks at her!” We first experienced the sweetness of Jessica and Scott when we photographed their engagement session at Marin Headlands near San Francisco. For their wedding they picked Radonich Ranch near Santa Cruz, the perfect location to celebrate their love for each other simply, sweetly and beautifully (and where their dog Posey could run free).
From Jessica and Scott- “We knew we wanted to be married in Santa Cruz, where we met and lived while we were engaged, and it was a no-brainer that we were going to celebrate outdoors, since that’s where we spend our free time. A big part of our venue decision came down to how much our dog, Posey, could participate, we wanted her there, but knew she wouldn’t have any interest in standing still. Radonich Ranch in the Santa Cruz mountains was the perfect match of rustic, chic, and intimate, and the planner there – Marky Carr – is just incredible. Plus Posey was free to roam, which was awesome; she had a great time! Some of the best advice we got before the wedding was to (in advance) choose 3 moments to step back and absorb everything that’s happening. That way you’re guaranteed to have at least 3 solid memories amid the blur of the day. We did this during the ceremony, immediately after the ceremony and during dinner. It’s awesome to hold hands and feel all the love surrounding you, and to see everyone smiling and laughing.”
