We lost someone very special this winter. Jon’s Lolo (Grandpa) passed away after living a full life. He was a veteran of war and a skilled tailor. He had great style and a huge generous heart. He had five daughters and one son, Jon’s dad being the only son. I have to say, I think being the only boy with so many sisters and a really cool Dad makes Jon’s Dad Manny extra awesome. He is sweet and silly, almost generous to a fault, artistic, down to earth, a great cook and he has a fantastic sense of style. The great thing is that Manny passed all of those qualities onto Jon, and I am so lucky for that! Today I am thinking about our aunties, Lolo and Manny and how because of them, I have the best husband I could ever wish for. Below are a few frames from Lolo’s funeral.

Manny with all his sisters, we love our aunties! Jon’s brother Jeremy is a gifted videographer. We love it when we get to work together at weddings. Jeremy spent the day capturing his family as they celebrated Lolo’s life, grieving and remembering together. His video is such a special gift.
