I’ve been editing some really cute portraits from a mother and daughter session that I shot in October. McKenzie is the daughter and I just love her! Every once in awhile I will have a little subject who challenges me and keeps me on my toes. McKenzie was determined to be the photographer and not the subject. I had to negotiate with her and make deals such as "What do think of putting on all your mom’s pretty jewelry, then I can take a pretty picture of you?" She replied "OK, only if I get to hold your camera and take two photos of you, with the big camera." I agreed. Later on…" How about you sit on that rock with that pretty flower you just picked. I will get a photo of you and your mom that grandma will love!" Reply: "OK but just one photo of me and then I get to take FIVE of my Mom on the rock." I agreed and a deal was made. Looking over the images this week there are some really nice photos of Melinda on a rock and I didn’t even take them…..
Certain photos are so silly, others very serious and some are just really sweet! McKenzie kept making goofy faces and I couldn’t resist pushing the shutter when she was being silly. When I open some these photos to edit I just giggle!
