Weddings

these images made me smile today. jamie and dustin were married in lacey at the jacob smith house, but most of these photos were shot in downtown olympia at old school pizza.

 

these two met while working at the grand (a very cool independent nonprofit cinema in tacoma). it' my favorite place to catch a flick! hot tea, no lines, funky old seats and a good movie make me very happy. of course, we had to make a quick popcorn stop on the way to the church on their wedding day.              am thinking tomorrow would be a very good day for matinee. 

i''ve been giving little peeks at this wedding, here is the final set to complete the story. jamie and tim were married at sodo park in south seattle. the space is huge with exposed beams and high ceilings. the area outside is a bit gritty but in a good gritty kind of way. there was a rock band festival on the same block, lots of rust and colorful peeling walls, a ginormous rock garden and a train that zoomed by just when we needed it. besides planning a wedding, these two are expecting their first baby! i can't imagine having that much fun in one year. the excitement at their wedding was very contagious!

 

tim's sister crystal and brother in law jason just happen to be wedding photographers themselves. since their whole family including their adorable kids were in the wedding party, they decided to set their cameras down for this one. jon and i were honored to be asked to capture the day for all of them. crystal and jason own ella blue studio and are so incredibly talented, sweet and encouraging. they are beautiful inside and out. they comment often on our blog and even sent us a shoot sac when they won it fair and square for themselves. it was such a sweet thing for them to give us and a complete surprise! that shoot sac was slung over my shoulder at every single wedding this summer, i love it!! thanks again you guys!! Congratulations jamie and tim, we can't wait to see your baby photos over on the ella blue blog!
