the ceremony, the dancing and of course the adorable bride and groom. these two are young and in love, they have so much ahead of them. and now they get to experience it all together as husband and wife! we started out at kristin's parents house for getting ready shots and then we stopped in tacoma for some rust and gritty photos before we headed off to the final destination. kristin and jeff had their ceremony and
reception at lakewold gardens …..a peaceful, timeless and lush magical place.
when i wander around these gardens, i feel as if fair
ies could really live under the mushrooms caps and elves just might sleep on the soft moss cascading out from under the huge rhododendrons. my grandpa osby would always tell me that fairies and elves really did live amongst us. he would say "if you just open your eyes wide enough and really focused and really believe with all your heart… then you might just get lucky and spot one!" and then one day it happened, i spotted an elf while cruising around with him in his row boat out at his lake place. the little guy was hiding behind a rock on this tiny island near shore. it was one of the most exciting moments of my youth. my grandpa saw him too and there was an energy in the boat that i will never forget. a sense of wonder and magic confirmed. i am often much too busy during weddings at lakewold gardens to be looking out for elves, but i always keep my eyes peeled while editing later. because if i was a fairy or an elf living there, i would totally be a little wedding crasher.
