here’s to festive skies everywhere. enjoy all the sparkles and grand finales!
i can’t believe the last time i photographed this sweetie, she was just a toddler. looking through the lens i was in awe. we seemed to be floating in time. kept thinking of her chubby cheeks, crazy curls and endless energy. froze it all before in tiny slices of time. attempted to freeze time again. to capture adolescence. because womanhood is almost here for this one. today i enjoyed serious stares, huge blue eyes and an occasional grin full of braces.
I couldn’t resist snapping this self portrait on friday in this funky bathroom.
i don’t think we were ready for a heat wave in may. don’t think we really believed it would hit. at least i didn’t, as i dressed in all black for a friday afternoon wedding. the sweet little wedding was at the bride’s grandparent’s home in edmonds. a beautiful view overlooking the water, a well loved home for 50+ years. i love, love grandparent’s houses! i especially love weddings and photos at grandparent’s houses. this one was full of classic furniture, lamps, mirrors, books and photos. untouched for years, the living room was the best. it was retro without trying to be. with a few tweaks i think it could be featured in an anthropologie catalog. here’s two previous posts on some sweet houses. my grandpa’s and carrie’s grandma’s. enjoy!
