I’m blogging with my favorite orange sparkle mask on for Halloween! I wore this a few years ago when I was the Queen of Halloween. It was a special find on my last trip down to Mexico I found it in the artistic town of San Miguel de Allende where I stayed by myself for almost a month while I took painting classes at the Instituto Allende. I would HIGHLY recommend a visit to San Miguel to anyone, especially someone with an artistic spirit. I was just daydreaming about Mexico yesterday morning and wishing I could be sitting in a cafe eating enchiladas and avocado jelly for breakfast! YUM! My Cousin Amanda Ovena who is also a photographer is living in Mexico right now. She lived in San Miguel de Allende which is how I first discovered the town. She is now living in Morelia, Mexico. I have been playing around with the idea of taking a trip south to visit her and the butterflies. You can see millions of Monarch Butterflies in the mountains near Morelia. On my last visit to see Amanda in San Miguel de Allende we were brave ladies and rented a Jetta to head out on a butterfly adventure. We drove through the mountains and country side of Mexico to see the amazing scene. It was worth every near death experience in our rental car! The image of the butterfly on my toes on the opening slide show of my website is from that trip. Amanda will be working with me this summer as my fabulous associate. Since she is not able to meet clients to book weddings for the summer while she is down south I will be booking weddings for her. The good news is if I am booked you could get lucky and maybe get Amanda. I take care of all the details of planning and will also edit and host Amanda’s photos on my website. I thought this was going to be an entry about Halloween but it went a direction direction…you never know. Well, Happy Halloween! Buenas noches!
