so, here you are, the little boy in the belly that crashed our girl’s weekend. i guess you didn’t really have a choice, you were just along for the ride. a boy in touch with his feminine side is always a good thing. perhaps we influenced you a bit with all our lively chatter. they say you can hear everything inside there. i think our secrets are safe with you. looks like you’ve got a pretty honest face. and yes it’s true you are just as cute as we thought you would be.
love thinking of places visited while in the belly. i did the hula in hawaii 3 months before i was born. my mom would always remind me of this when i would say that i hadn’t been on a big vacation. she would talk about it like i should remember the wonderful time we had. she would tell stories about it, like i had just forgotten the details and needed a little reminder. " remember how sunburned we got! it was miserable but the aloe vera gel worked wonders" then she would say "oh and you loved the sound of the waves and floating in the pool". she would add " the luau food upset our stomach in the middle of the night but it was so good while we ate it!"
am wondering how you will remember our little trip to the san juans. was thinking about what stories we could tell you. we will have to remind you that we did miss the ferry by 5 minutes because you needed a bagel for the ride. since we didn’t want to make you feel bad, we blamed the slow car in front of us on our way to the terminal. once on the island you enjoyed the spring sunshine (warm but not too hot) as we collected tiny rocks. you took little cat naps and enjoyed laying on your own special bean bag. most importantly you stayed up much later than any of us thought you would, giggling like a little girl.
